Over the past 2 weeks, with the vibrant buzz from British Science Week in the run up to Easter, Explorer Dome has had 53 bookings from schools, colleges, brownies and afterschool groups.

But Jim and Riha had a particularly fantastic day at Westgate Academy in Lincoln where they met all the Year 6 and welcomed them inside the Dome. After the visit, the students were told they could produce any piece of work they wanted to show what they had learned inside the Dome, and Jim and Riha were lucky to be sent some from Class 6S

"From theses fabulous pieces of work we were really impressed with how much impact the dome experience had on everyone. We LOVED reading all of them - from your fantastic facts about the planets and stars, to some of the beautiful pictures and ancient Greek stories. All of the classes' questions were brilliant too! We got to talk about everything from black holes to the shape of the Universe, the Planck length and the number of footballs that would fit inside a hollow planet Earth!!"

By the way, Jim now reckons is about 195,200,000,000,000,000,000,000 if you use the volume of a Jabulani ball... so 195.2 sextillion! And apparently that's not too far away from your guess!

Thank you to all who send us creative artwork, stories and facts. We can only show a few on this website, but please know that we keep and treasure them all! Thanks again Year 6!
